Release history
Changelog
Notable customer-facing changes. The download page always identifies the currently published Windows installer and its SHA-256.
Version 0.6.1 — July 21, 2026
Reliability and security
- Updates now use immutable, content-addressed installers with bounded downloads, trusted redirects, and a second SHA-256 check immediately before launch.
- Existing v0.5 and newer installations upgrade in place with their original scope, directory, settings, projects, and license identity preserved.
- License seats are enforced atomically for three active installations, with safe legacy migration and automatic recovery of machines idle for 30 days.
- Fresh signed licenses renew at most daily to reduce network and Stripe work while long-running sessions continue renewing in the background.
- Read-only mode blocks editing and solving but keeps project open, inspection, Save/Save As, and current-session export available.
Website and billing
- Added support, changelog, rendered legal-draft, billing-management, custom 404, and permanent legacy-link routes.
- Billing management now uses Stripe’s emailed one-time-code login and verifies cancellation, payment-method, and invoice features.
Version 0.6.0 — July 21, 2026
Added
- In-app updates. A release banner can download the current installer, verify its SHA-256, upgrade in place, and restart the app. “Later” dismisses that release; Help → Check for Updates remains available.
- Checkout-email activation. Activation asks for the email used at checkout and the license key, and a renewed lease keeps the linked email visible in the app.
- Smiley Face annotation. A draggable decorative item that is deliberately ignored by the solver.
Fixed
- Sources and sinks no longer carry phantom, unconnectable ports.
- Background update and license results are reliably delivered back to the interface.
- Manual update checks no longer block the window on a slow connection.
Version 0.5.2 — July 19, 2026
- Added all 15 hand-verified systems to File → Open Example and shipped them as
.tfluid files.
- Published quantified diagram-audit notes with the verification document.
- Hardened server-side licensing storage with HMAC-derived record keys.
- Introduced the current marketing site and published verification PDF.
Version 0.5.1 — July 19, 2026
- Published the independent, state-by-state verification campaign for 15 systems: 266 of 266 comparisons pass.
- Corrected two-phase recuperator heat direction, plant first-law summaries, and pipe heat-loss accounting.
- Added physical sampled process paths to cycle diagrams and pipe elevation effects to pressure and energy balances.
Version 0.5.0 — July 18, 2026 · pre-launch
